Shonna Chandless, EA
Shonna is an IRS Enrolled Agent and a native of the Yuba-Sutter area. She holds a BS in Business Administration with a focus in Accounting from California State University, Chico, and began her career at local firms before founding Chandless Tax Inc.
Over the last decade she's prepared returns and run books for clients across agriculture, technology, and construction — the kind of businesses where the numbers aren't simple and the stakes aren't small. Her work centers on getting it right the first time and building a year-round relationship with clients, not just an April transaction.

An Enrolled Agent (EA) is federally licensed by the IRS — the highest credential the IRS awards. EAs can represent taxpayers in all fifty states for examinations, collections, and appeals, alongside CPAs and attorneys.
In practice, it means two things: the work is done by someone who's been tested and vetted on federal tax law directly, and if something goes sideways with the IRS later, you already have someone who can speak to them on your behalf.
